Understanding the effect rock fabric has on fracture complexity is key to improved production. Using FracBRAIN® we interact with rocks to more efficiently place proppant and create more fracture surface area, by fine tuning our inputs based on rock response.

Rock Breaking Patterns from Pressure …

Fracture tip pressure (right) is very much like human voice patterns. Those signals are converted mathematically to differentiate between the larger tensile fractures and the smaller more complex fracture events that take place during stimulation. The summation of these fracture counts provides a cumulative fracture surface area score after every stage. The higher the fracture surface area score, the better the stages production performance.
